SUTD has a highly qualified academic team from a wide range of disciplines. More than 95% of our faculty members have a PhD degree, with close to one-third of them ranking amongst the top 2% of scientists worldwide. Over half of our faculty members are non-Singaporean foreigners, hailing from as many as 26 countries.

Our unique academic structure is designed around the key concepts of interdisciplinary learning and research, human-centred design, digital competency as a foundation, and addressing large-scale real-world problems.

Our pillars, programmes and clusters focus and specialise in a diverse subject matter but come together to support a multidisciplinary education.

The SUTD campusX initiative is set up to create a human-centric cyber-physical learning environment that focuses on the needs and experiences of students and instructors using data analytics and learning sciences.
